Frequently Asked Questions

FAQ

How long will the inspection take?

The inspection on average takes two to four hours, but depending on the size of the house, it may take longer. And typically, it takes no longer than 24 hours to receive the inspector’s findings/report.

Should buyers be present during the inspection?

Yes—buyers are encouraged to attend the inspection whenever possible. Being onsite gives you the opportunity to see the home firsthand and discuss findings directly with the inspector. This allows for more detailed explanations and insights. If you are unable to be present, this is okay as well. The inspection report will still be plenty sufficient.

How much does an inspection cost?

Several factors influence the cost of a home inspection. For example, a standard 4-point insurance inspection without wind mitigation starts at $225, while full home inspections begin at $350.
