The inspection on average takes two to four hours, but depending on the size of the house, it may take longer. And typically, it takes no longer than 24 hours to receive the inspector’s findings/report.
Should buyers be present during the inspection?
Buyers should try to attend the inspection because this allows the inspector to provide details about the home to the buyer while onsite. Oftentimes, this information is likely more detailed than the report alone.
How much does an inspection cost?
A standard home inspection starts out at $175. However, the price varies and is dependant upon several factors. These factors include the size of the home, age, location and whether or not any ancillary services are needed.
